Kunle Afolayan shines in new film ‘Citation’ on sexual harassment

Billionaire, Femi Otedola, paid a surprise visit by award-winning filmmaker Kunle Afolayan to the cast and crew of ‘Citation.’

Otedola, who was at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State where the film is currently being filmed, noted that his mission was to see what it looks like to make a film, adding that his new interest would be to help Nigeria’s fast-growing film industry.

Another VIP guest and cinematographer, Tunde Kelani and AVRS Chairman, Mahmoud Ali Balogun, joined the billionaire, whose daughter Temi plays a leading role in the college drama.

“The much-advertised film is expected to move locations in just a few weeks to Senegal and the stunning Cape Verde Island.”

“Exploring the subject of social decadence in the education sector, the film is about a female postgraduate student who has to find a way to deal with the pitiful situation of sexual harassment by a lecturer.”

Featuring a group of A-list actors of various nationalities, the film features veteran Nigerian actress and director, Joke Silva; Haitian-French actor and model, Jimmy Jean-Louis; delightful Nigerian actress, Ini Edo; the seasonal musician, Seun Kuti; UK-based Nigerian fashion and lifestyle blogger, Temi Otedola; prominent Nigerian actor, Yomi Fash-Lanso; Ghanaian actor, Adjetey Anang; Nigerian actor and singer, Gabriel Afolayan; Ivorian theater man, Bienvenu Neba; veteran broadcaster and actor, Sadiq Daba;  Nollywood actress, Bukunmi Oluwashina; French-Ivorian actor and screenwriter, Raymond Reboul; theater educator, Toyin Bifarin; and veteran Nigerian film director and actor, Wole Olowomojuore, aka ‘Baba Gebu’.
